The Crusaders take a 12-8 lead over the Chiefs into halftime. The Crusaders started strongly with two tries in the opening 15 minutes to build a 12-3 lead. The Chiefs hit back with their first try and withstood some relentless pressure from the visitors towards the end of the half to trail by just four points at the break.
