A product of Feilding High School, Northcott debuted in 2012 making only 1 appearance and 4 the following year.
In 2014 he was a key member of the Turbos side that finished top of the ITM Cup Championship division.
Some strong performances in the Turbos midfield during 2014 earned him a Super Rugby contract with the Blues for 2015, but was released for 2016.
Northcott has also been a member of the Hurricanes development side.
