Tomás Lavanini ruled out of Georgia Test
Tomás Lavanini has been ruled out of the match against Georgia this weekend.
The Pumas second-rower suffered an eye injury, specifically to the retina in his right eye. The team medic has confirmed the 24-year-old has departed Jujuy to return to Buenos Aires.
Lavanini started in both games against England partnering with Matías Alemanno in the second-row on both occasions.
Guido Petti was the specialist replacement and is now in line to take Lavanini’s position in the team.
The trio are the only designated second-rowers on Daniel Hourcade’s current roster. Marcos Kremer was not involved to instead play in the Junior World Championship.
No player has yet been added to the roster by Hourcade.
