Luke Northmore signs new Harlequins deal

Harlequins are thrilled to announce Luke Northmore has put pen to paper on a new deal to extend his stay at The Stoop.

The 28-year-old centre, who is currently in his sixth season in TW2, has amassed 77 appearances in the Quarters and scored 25 tries.

In 2019, Northmore swapped Cardiff for London when he signed for Harlequins following his graduation from Cardiff Metropolitan University and has since become an integral cog in the Club’s midfield.

The Devonshire native is comfortable at both inside and outside centre and was part of the 2020/21 squad that lifted the Gallagher Premiership trophy at Allianz Stadium.

Northmore’s form for Club has seen him included in several senior England squads including the 2024 summer tour to Japan and New Zealand and 2024 Autumn Series.

“Harlequins does feel like home now. This is my sixth season at the Club and I’m over the moon to be sticking around and re-signing,” said Northmore.

“I’ve loved my time at the Club so far and it’s really promising to see the number of boys that have re-signed already this season. There is great talent in this squad, young and old and hopefully we can achieve some great things together over the next few years.

“First and foremost, I want to get back on the field and be consistent for Quins and try to achieve goals with this group. I’m optimistic that whatever comes off the back of that for me will be positive.”

Head Coach Danny Wilson added: “Luke possesses a fantastic skillset and great all-round ability that makes him a top player on both sides of the ball, and in my time at the Club he’s demonstrated the impact he can have on games.

“Luke joins a list of 13 key senior players who have renewed this season, and we’re delighted he’ll continue to wear the Quarters for seasons to come.”
