Kolbe to wear Toulon colours

There will be much excitement around Toulon at the news that star Springbok winger Cheslin Kolbe is set to join the club soon, according to a report in lefigaro.fr. 

Currently with the powerful Toulouse, recent days have seen rumours circulating around a possible move for Kolbe, rumours which Toulon president Bernard Lemaître has now confirmed. 

“We promised ourselves that we would henceforth be less dependent on internationals because we paid a heavy price last season. But this is an exception made for an exceptional player,” Lemaître said. 

“It's a really exceptional opportunity, especially since we needed a game winner in the back lines. For a more average player, we would not have done it.”
