Wales just about retained possession off the scrum but the Wales couldn't handle the pressure and were penalised

Ireland turn over possession. Things looked a bit static so Briggs but in a good kick. A great kick chase saw Tyrell put a the Welsh winder into touch. Ireland secured the resulting line out but possession broke down shortly after and a ball was knocked forward

Muldoon feeds the scrum as the backs line out on the near side. However Wales win the scrum against the head and are on the attack now

Ireland penalised for not rolling away. Wales kick into touch and will have the throw into the line out

Half time - It was a long first half. Both sides had good spells and both sides defended well. Ireland will have a strong wind behind them in the second half as Wales will be looking to chase this game. All to play for. Second half will begin shortly
