Stade then picked up a yellow card, with Racing kicking the resulting penalty to get on the board. Stade went over for a second try to extend their lead to 15-3. Both sides then picked up a yellow card, with Racing kicking a penalty around the half hour mark to trail 15-6. Stade then received a red card, with Racing being awarded a penalty try to reduce the gap to 15-13. However, a late Stade try sees them up by nine points in the second leg, trailing by four points on aggregate.
