The Western Force take a 14-7 lead over the Waratahs into halftime. The Force opened the scoring with a penalty and crossed for the games first try with 10 minutes remaining to lead 8-0. The Force kept the scoreboard ticking over with two quick penalties, but the hosts would have the final say of the half with a try to trail by just seven points at the break.
