Exeter Chiefs take a 7-6 lead over Montpellier into halftime. Two early Montpellier penalties saw the visitors up 6-0 after the opening ten minutes. Exeter hit back with the only try of the half 23 minutes in to see them hold a slender one point advantage at the break.
