SA take a 14-3 lead over Eng into halftime. Both sides missed early shots at goal before alternating penalties to see the score locked up at 3-3. Eng missed another kick at goal before SA edged ahead with a drop goal around the half hour mark. Shortly after, SA went over for the games first try and they added a penalty on the stroke of halftime for an 11 point advantage at the break.
