Canterbury take a 19-13 lead over Tasman into halftime of the Premiership Final. Tasman ran in the opening try and added a penalty soon after for a 10-0 lead. Canterbury responded with two Mounga tries to lead 12-10. A penalty saw Tasman edge ahead 13-12, but Canterbury crossed for their third try of the half on the stroke of halftime to lead at the break.
