Harlequins take a 27-12 lead over the Northampton Saints into halftime. Quins opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Saints responded with a try to lead 5-3. Quins hit back with two tries in quick succession to hit the front 17-5. The sea-saw battle continued as a second Saints try saw them trail 17-12 after a frenetic opening 14 minutes. The match settled for a period of time before a third Quins try around the half hour mark made it 24-12. Quins would add a late penalty for a handy 15 point advantage at the break.
