Born and bred in Limerick, Browne played schools rugby with Ardscoil and in the 2015/16 season played with Shannon RFC.
He has made appearances for Munster U-18, U-19 and U-20 level. Early 2016 saw him make his Munster A debut and also make the Ireland U-19 sevens team.
In May 2016, Browne was announced part of the Ireland U20 Squad for World Rugby Championship.
