A former pupil at Dean Close School, Lloyd came to prominence as a regular for the Gloucester U18s side.
Lloyd represented England U18s and was also named in the England U20 squad for the Junior World Championships in Italy, June 2015. Evans debuted as a replacement in England's JWC opener against Japan, winning 59-7.
He made his senior debut for Gloucester in the LV= Cup at Northampton in November 2013, and in May 2015 Lloyd made his Aviva Premiership debut as a 60th minute replacement against Bath Rugby.
Evans signed his first professional contract to remain with Gloucester.
