Porecki is an Austrialian born hooker who has represented the Waratahs and Sydney side Manly Marlins.
Porecki made one brief appearance off the bench for Waratahs against Cheetahs during the 2015 Super Rugby season.
Porecki signed for Saracens in 2015 as cover for Jamie George and Schalk Britz who were expected to be on international duty at the World Cup. Porecki was eligible to represent England as his mother is from that country
In 2016, he left Saracens to join London Irish and in his first season at the club he made 16 appearances and was part of the side that defeated Yorkshire Carnegie in the RFU Championship play-off final to win promotion back to the Premiership.
In November 2017, Porecki committed his future to London Irish bringing considerable experience to the Exiles' pack.
In July 2020 it was confirmed that Porecki would return to the Waratahs for their Super Rugby campaign.
On 2 July 2022 Porecki made his debut for Australia starting in a win against England at Perth Stadium.
In his 22/23 Super Rugby Pacific season, Porecki played 11 matches for Waratahs scoring 3 tries.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Porecki has been named in the training squad for Australia.
