Albert earned his first Super Rugby starting appearance in 2012 when injury forced the youngster into the No.2 jersey against the Western Force at Suncorp Stadium in round two. The Reds won the game 35-20 with Albert excelling when given the opportunity before finishing the season with five caps.
Albert made his debut for the Reds during their historic 2011 campaign, earning his maiden Super Rugby appearance against the Hurricanes in Wellington. He went on to make 27 appearances for the Queensland side over four seasons. In other honours, Albert made his Australian Under 20s debut in 2009 at the inaugural IRB Junior World Championships in Wales and has also represented Australia as a Schoolboy and at Under 19 level.
In 2013 Anae played in New Zealand’s ITM Cup with Bay of Plenty before being summons to the Wallabies. He then represented the Vikings in the 2015 National Rugby Championships before spending last season at Italian side Traviso.
Anae joined the Brumbies in 2016 on a one-year deal with an option for a second, but was granted release from the club in June 29th 2016.
