Gordon Bulloch’s first taste of Lions action came in 2001 when he was called up to the Australia Tour as an injury replacement for Phil Greening.
The Scottish hooker – who won 77 caps for his country – won a Test cap on that Tour when he came off the bench in the Lions’ historic first Test victory at the Gabba.
Four years later and, after captaining Scotland in the 2005 Championship, Bulloch was included in Sir Clive Woodward’s Lions squad to Tour New Zealand.
On that Tour Bulloch captained the midweek side and earned a spot in the Test side – coming off the bench to replace Shane Byrne in the third and final clash with the All Blacks.
