The Exeter-born forward moved to Carnegie from Rotherham at the start of the 2012/13 season and went on to make 60 appearances, scoring six tries.
Previous clubs include Wharfedale, Leeds Met and Crediton RUFC, and his representative rugby hit its peak at Twickenham, where Hooper was part of the Yorkshire U20 side competing in the County Championship final.
Hooper penned a two-year deal to join Nottingham before the start of the 2016/17 season, joining from Yorkshire Carnegie.
