- 1928
France u20 made it three wins from three to top Pool C with a thrilling 46-29 win over South Africa u20 in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship. France came out firing with some simply subline champagne rugby and were completely dominant as they ran in five tries for an emphatic 36-0 lead, before the baby Boks hit back with a score just before halftime to make it 36-7 at the break. South Africa went over for an early second half try, but France responded shortly after with their sixth try making it 43-12. The pendulum swung South Africa's way as they crossed for the next three tries to reduce the deficit to just 14 points at 43-29 with 5 minutes remaining. However, the victory was sealed with a late French penalty which sees the hosts France take on New Zealand in the semi-finals. South Africa finished as the top pool runner up and will square off against England in the other semi.
