The Sydney Morning Herald‘s Georgina Robinson has reported that Rugby Australia have called off a scheduled phone call with former Springboks coach Jake White at the request of the latter.
It is understood that Rugby Australia chief executive Raelene Castle complied with White’s request after word of the call was leaked to the media.
The 2007 World Cup winning coach, who is currently head coach of the Toyota Verblitz, has reportedly also offered his services to Japan as Jamie Joseph’s replacement after next year’s World Cup.
The Sydney Morning Herald understands that RA has in mind current Scotland director of rugby Scott Johnson for a similar role with the Wallabies under an overhauled high performance model designed to make the test environment a more collaborative set-up.
