When Namibia Stunned Ireland

One of the most startling results in rugby history happened in July 20, 1991 at S.W. Stadium in Windhoek when a young Namibian international team recorded a 15 - 6 victory against the Irish.
Namibia had only gained independence in 1990, but had experience as 'South West Africa' in the Currie Cup, and played a large amount of tests over their first two years.
As part of their preparations for the World Cup that autumn, Ireland undertook a two-match tour of the country, with the tourists crashing to a 15-6 defeat in the first Test while the second Test was a 26-15 loss.
