Hughes banned: Wasps back-row Nathan Hughes has been given a 3 week ban from the RFU for striking Northampton winger George North. North was forced to leave the field on a stretcher and Hughes was sent off at the time but now a RFU disciplinary panel have found him guilty of striking. A key player for Wasps, Hughes will miss the European quarter final with Toulon, London Welsh and could miss a potential semi final if Wasps qualify, if not Hughes will miss the crucial clash with Exeter.
Sinfield to Union: Rugby League legend Kevin Sinfield has decided after 19 years at Leeds Rhinos he will move on and join Union side Yorkshire Carniege. Sinfield will finish the Super League season and then join the Leeds based side in November as they look to regain their place in the Aviva Premiership. Sinfield is Leeds top points scorer in their history and will look to captain his side to Super League glory in his final season.
