Sale Sharks Sign Byron McGuigan
With the aim of getting into the top 4 of the Premiership, Sale Sharks have announced the signing of former Exeter Chiefs utility back Byron McGuigan on a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old back has previously played for Border Bulldogs, Glasgow Warriors and also for Bay of Plenty in New Zealand's ITM Cup.
Bath set to announce Todd Blackadder as new director of rugby this week
Former All Blacks flanker, Blackadder stepped down after eight years at the Crusaders at the weekend after failing to reach the Super Rugby semi-finals for only the second time in his reign following a 42-25 defeat to the Lions.
He is now set to be named as Bath's new director of rugby, according to reports.
Ranger's misconduct proceedings
New Zealand Rugby and the Blues have started misconduct proceedings against former All Blacks winger, Rene Ranger following a drinking and driving incident that took place earlier this month.
"We are disappointed in the poor choice that Rene made, especially for a player of his experience," said Blues Rugby chief executive Michael Redman.
Ranger, who played six tests for the All Blacks in 2010 and 2013, has plead guilty to the charges and was convicted, disqualified from driving for seven months and fined $800.
Chiefs receive boost
