Joe Schmidt has called up promising young second-row James Ryan for the upcoming summer tour to USA & Japan.
The talented second-row captained Ireland to the final of the 2016 JWC in Manchester, England.
Ryan has yet to play a senior match for his home province and missed most of this season with a serious hamstring injury.
In February, the promising lock was rewarded with a senior contract for the 2017/18 season.
The Leinster second row is on his way back from a serious injury and was a surprise inclusion in the Munster Development side that played against the Ireland U20's on Saturday in Thomond Park.
Check out Ryan in 2012 scoring a spectacular solo effort for his school St. Michaels in the Junior Cup.
