Damian McKenzie slotted the match-winning penalty in golden point extra time for the Chiefs as they beat the Highlanders 23-26 at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday.

Josh Ioane had a telling impact off the bench scoring 10 points to tie up the game at 23 points apiece before McKenzie was given a chance to win it in regulation time with a shot at goal.
The Chiefs' fullback missed the chance but was pinpoint with his effort in extra time to seal the Chiefs' third win on the trout.
