Warriors tackle Wasps at the Ricoh Arena
- 1333
Two of the losing sides from Round 18 come up against each other this weekend as Worcester Warriors travel to the Ricoh Arena to try and neutralise the sting of Wasps.
Lee Blackett’s men were part of a nail-biter last weekend as Harlequins pipped them by two points in a high-scoring, thrilling encounter.
Meanwhile, Worcester were thumped 41-10 by Exeter at Sandy Park. The Warriors played the first half with a strong wind behind them and built a 10-0 lead before Exeter began to stretch their legs - scoring 41 unanswered points.
Worcester have had an incredibly poor season, posting only a single win in 18 outings. Each round they grow more desperate for victory, however, round after round, it illudes them.
After a vigorously competitive season in 2019-20, Wasps have been somewhat off the pace with 7 victories from their 18 encounters. With nothing left to play for save pride, supporters will be hoping that the team can unearth some of last season’s form as the tournament draws to a close.
Worcester came close to toppling Wasps in their last encounter - Round 9’s fixture at Sixways – where Wasps left with just a 4-point victory intact.
