Wales squad announcement: Dan Biggar to lead team in Six Nations
- 2199
Wayne Pivac has announced his Wales 2022 Six Nations squad.
The Welsh will commence their campaign on 5 February in Dublin where they will tackle the Irish.
Dan Biggar has been named as captain in the absence of the injured Alun Wyn Jones. It will be the first time in Biggar’s career that he will lead his country.
The squad also contains three new faces in Jac Morgan, Dewi Lake and James Ratti. Many feel that Morgan should have been included in the squad in 2021 already, but he now has a golden opportunity to show his quality. Lake has also been in great form for Ospreys while Ratti continues to impress in the blue and black of Cardiff.
The following are unavailable due to injury:
Elliott Dee, Ken Owens, Alun Wyn Jones, Taulupe Faletau, Dan Lydiate, Josh Macleod, Josh Navidi, Justin Tipuric, Johnny Williams, George North, Leigh Halfpenny.
