Lions flanker Vincent Tshituka has turned down offers from abroad to sign a deal with the Durban-based Sharks ahead of next season.
The 23-year-old reportedly caught the eye of overseas clubs including defending Premiership champions Harlequins.
However, he has signed a deal to leave the Lions and remain in South Africa penning a three-year deal with the Sharks.
Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tshituka is chasing higher honours in South Africa as he hopes to represent the Springboks.
Tshituka is trying to obtain a South African passport in order to represent his adoptive country.
His younger brother Emmanuel Tshituka could join Vincent at the Sharks with earlier reports stating that the franchise was interested in both players.
