UJ have ended Day One of this year's Varsity Sevens on top of the standings after winning four out of their five games.
UJ started the day-off in emphatic fashion beating Gauteng rivals UP-Tuks, UWC and NMMU before going down 22-24 in the last play of the game to Walter Sisulu University (WSU) in what was the big upset of the day.
