Uruguay boss Pablo Lemoine revealed how proud he was of his players after they scored two tries in their loss to Fiji.
“It’s a new record for us, and I am very proud of the team,” he said.
"It’s an amateur team that has worked very hard, and playing at this level is part of the team’s growth, and also part of the enjoyment.
"They are like my sons and I am very happy, I can’t not feel proud of them for all that they have done, all the hard work they have put in.”
Uruguay will round off their second ever Rugby World Cup campaign when they face hosts England in Manchester this weekend.
“It’s going to be difficult, but we have worked very hard,” he added.
"We didn’t do very well against them at the RWC 2003 (Uruguay lost 111-13), but I feel that this (Uruguayan) team is much, much better prepared.”
