URC: Cardiff Rugby v Munster Rescheduled

Cardiff Rugby and Munster Rugby will kick off their United Rugby Championship seasons a day later than initially expected.

Due to the visit of HRH King Charles III and the Queen’s Consort to Cardiff on September 16, the match has been rescheduled to September 17.

The game will now kick off at 15:05 UK on Saturday, September 17 having originally been due to take place on Friday night (19:35).

The league organisers confirmed the news on Monday stating that the 'significant logistical challenges have occurred due to the visit of HRH King Charles III and the Queen’s Consort'.

It added that the broadcast facilities for both the host broadcaster (BBC Wales) and other TV facilities providers will be engaged in the coverage of the visit and the drain on available resources has resulted in the rescheduling of the game.

The rescheduled Cardiff Rugby v Munster will be broadcast live on BBC Wales, RTÉ 2, Premier Sport, SuperSport and URC.tv.
