Georgia u20 held on for a 39-31 win over Scotland u20 to finish 9th at the World Rugby Under 20 Championship. Scotland crossed for three first half tries to two to take a 19-12 lead into the break. Georgia started the second half superbly, running in three tries and kicking a penalty to storm into a 36-19 lead with 15 minutes remaining. Momentum shifted when Georgia picked up a yellow card with ten minutes to go, with Scotland capitalizing immediately to run in two quick tries to reduce the deficit to just five points at 36-31 and set up a tense finish. However, the come back was not to be as a late Georgian penalty sealed the victory and their best ever finish at the tournament.
