u20 Women's Six Nations launches in 2024

From July 4 to July 14, 2024, the first development competition for the under-20s will feature all the Six Nations teams, offering three days of competitive matches.

The Women’s Summer Series aims to provide players with a new opportunity to progress through the rugby development pathway. As with the Under-18 Six Nations Festivals, each federation will bring together coaches and match officials from their respective nations.

The Women's Summer Series will be held over three days, July 4, 9 and 14, with teams mainly made up of players under the age of 20. However, each federation will be able to select up to three players under the age of 23 per match day.

Caroline SUNÉ (French Under-20 Women's Manager)   : “  It's an exciting challenge, marking the first official competition for this age category, even if a similar competition should have taken place in 2019 before the pandemic stopped everything . This highlights the delay in the development of women's rugby... I hope this will soon pave the way for a Six Nations tournament for the under-20 category, like its men's counterpart. We have deliberately chosen to only select players under the age of 20, excluding those under the age of 23 as suggested by the regulations, in order to give young talents the opportunity to flourish and confirm their potential. With ambitious goals in mind, we will first organize a training course from June 26 to July 2 at the National Rugby Center – Bernard Lapasset, before flying to Parma. Our ambition is clear: to win this competition . »
