Top Performers - Ulster vs Connacht

Sean O' Brien
The deserved Man of the Match, O'Brien was simply everywhere this evening making an insane 17 tackles in the first half. The blindside flanker led a dominant performance at set-piece with the visitors winning scrum penalties against the head and stealing ball at lineout time. This allowed Connacht to get on the front foot especially in the first half while two turnovers at the breakdown were also noted.

🏉| TRY for @connachtrugby and it looks as if the Connacht men have gotten their first win here in Ulster since 1960!

Bundee Aki gave a usual strong carrying performance where he outmuscled Stuart McCloskey and the rest of the Ulster midfield at the gainline. The inside centre managed to score an intercept try on the back of an attempted looping move which cemented the game for the visitors.
Nick Timoney
By far Ulster's best player this evening, Timoney demonstrated his strong defensive capabilities by depositing thunderous hits on Caolin Blade and Paul Boyle which ultimately led to turnovers at the breakdown. The versatile back row also showed that he is no slouch in managing to hold Niyi Adeolokun in a foot race and secure a losing bonus point for Ulster.
