Team of the Weekend

1. Gethin Jenkins

Put constant pressure on the Argentinian scrum, forcing the front row to give away penalty after penalty. Was a good asset in defence also

2. Stephen Moore

Led his side well in a tough encounter vs Scotland, defended superb making 13 tackles and managed to make a few breaks.

3. Charlie Faumuina

Powerful display from the prop going forward. Got himself a try and in play showed some great hands.

4. Joe Launchbury

Awarded man of the match in England's win over South Africa and rightly so. Dominated at the set piece, winning every lineout and also impressed in defence with a tackle success rate of 100%.

5. Ultan Dillane

The young lock put in a massive shift against Canada. He had some huge carries working hard to get himself in to the right positions. Dillane also produced an impressive defensive display with a number of big tackles.

6. Chris Robshaw

The former England captain's work rate was second to none in England's win. Defensively sound with 10 tackles and hit nearly every ruck.

7. David Pocock

1st time completing 80 since returning from injury and impressed in a good defensive effort. Made a few breaks too and he will look to keep up this form.

8. Robin Copeland

Copeland made a huge statement for a starting place in his encounter against the Maori All Blacks. The no. 8 was an ever present threat at the breakdown, earning numerous turnovers for his side. Copeland also displayed an impressive feat of strength, with the Maori All Blacks struggling to bring the big ball carrier to the ground whenever he was in possession.

9. Ben Youngs

Has become one of the first names in the teamsheet under Eddie Jones' England. Kept up his great form for England, making 2 fantastic breaks to setup George Ford and Owen Farrell for crucial tries. His kicking up

10. George Ford

His game managment was sublime in England's win, constantly putting pressure on the South African back 3 with some great kicks. Bagged a deserved try too after some great attacking play.

11. Liam Willams

In a poor game, Williams' try broke the deadlock with a good finish in the corner. Gave 110% for Wales.

12. Owen Farrell

Playing at 12 again, Farrell showed why he was nominated for Player of the Year. He was the key link man between Ford and the pacey outside backs. He identified space very well sending regular kicks into the corner pinning the Springboks deep in their own territory and was almost perfect from the tee recording 6/7 successful kicks.

13. Malakai Fekitoa

Was a constant threat for Italy using his size and pace to cut holes through the Italian defence on numerous occasions. Fekitoa also grabbed two tries for himself as was our man of the match. 

14. Virimi Vakatawa

The former 7's man grabbed a hat trick in France's convincing win over Samoa, with Vakatawa's tries crucial. Samoa couldn't handle him as he got on the ball all game and made their lives misery.

15. Tiernan O'Halloran

Bagging a brace on your first start isn't too shabby! Looked a threat to Canada whenever he got the ball, constantly breaking the line.
