Team news: Harlequins squad to face Sale Sharks

Harlequins have named their matchday squad for Sunday’s Gallagher Premiership fixture against Sale Sharks at the Salford Community Stadium (KO 15:00 – Live on TNT Sports).

The squad is bolstered by the return of experienced duo Joe Marler (279 caps) and Danny Care (371 caps), with prop Simon Kerrod in line for his 100th appearance and Academy graduate Sam Riley selected for his 50th cap.

Up front, Joe Marler returns at loosehead to partner Sam Riley and Dillon Lewis. Irne Herbst and skipper Stephan Lewies maintain their second-row combination, with Chandler Cunningham-South and Will Evans on the flanks. Alex Dombrandt resumes at number eight.

In the backs, Will Porter and Marcus Smith continue their halves partnership, with Andre Esterhuizen and Oscar Beard in the centres. Louis Lynagh and Cadan Murley start on the wings with last week’s Player of the Match Tyrone Green at fullback.

Amongst the Impact Players, there’s a strong mix of talent and experience with Jack Walker, Fin Baxter and Simon Kerrod covering the front-row. George Hammond and Tom Lawday bolster the pack, with Danny Care returning to join fly-half Jarrod Evans and centre Luke Northmore.
