Super Rugby Trans Tasman Wrap-up

The New Zealand outfits enjoyed another clean sweep of their Australian opposition in Round 2 of Super Rugby Trans Tasman.
The first fixture kicked off in Wellington where the Hurricanes hosted the Rebels. The men in yellow dominated the visitors – the final whistle sounding with the score at 35-13.
The second game took place in Perth where the Highlanders beat the Force with 10 points (25-15).
The Blues continued their high scoring form with a 48-21 victory over the Waratahs in Auckland – an effort which saw them maintain their spot on top of the log.
The Chiefs put a surprisingly high score on the Brumbies (40-19) after it was expected that the Super Rugby AU runners-up might steal a victory after their impressive showing against the Crusaders in Round 1.
Finally, the Crusaders turned the screws on the Reds with a 63-28 victory in Brisbane. It was not altogether unexpected that Scott Robertson’s charges would bounce back with a vengeance after being run very close by the Brumbies in Round 1, and the Reds felt the full force of their might.
