Super Rugby Countdown Day 22: Players with the Most Super Rugby Appearances

Only the best players have the coaches confidence in taking the field a number of times due to their talent and reliability. Here's a list of the top ten players to have been called up the most in Super Rugby.

10.    Nathan Sharpe (App 162)

At the age of only 18, Nathan Sharpe was also selected to represent the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby in 1996. However, he had to wait until 1998 before he made his debut.

9.     Kurtley Beale (App 162)
Beale made his Super rugby debut in 2007 for the NSW Waratahs. He accumulated the stints over 3 stints at the club.

8.    George Smith (App 164)
Brumbies head coach Eddie Jones signed him in 1999 and Smith made his Super Rugby debut as a 19-year-old in the Canberra-based outfit's home victory against the Sharks in 2000

7.    Greg Holmes (App 169)
In 2005, Holmes made his Super Rugby debut for Queensland against Auckland and was then chosen in the Wallabies' Spring Tour squad.

6.     Ma’a Nonu (App 174)
Nonu debuted for the Hurricanes in the 2003 Super 12. He has played for the hurricanes and Blues.

Smith has made his debut in 2011 for the Highlanders. He plays for the Highlanders in Super Rugby where he is the club's all-time leader in caps
