Super Rugby AU | Rebels v Brumbies - Rd 6 Highlights
- 1464
The Melbourne Rebels cruised to a 30-12 win over the log leading Brumbies in an extremely wet and rainy round 6 Super Rugby AU encounter.
The Rebels started the match strongly with two early tries to build a 12-0 lead. The Brumbies hit back with their first score, but it was all Rebels thereafter as they crossed for a further two first-half tries with a penalty in between to take a commanding 27-7 advantage into the break.
The Brumbies would also start the second half with 14 players after picking up a yellow card on the stroke of halftime. The Rebels continued their domination of both territory and possession in the second half, but would only slot a single penalty to extend their lead. The Brumbies would have the final say with a late try, but their unbeaten run in the competition comes to an end after a lackluster performance.
