Simone Ferrari re-signs for Benetton Rugby

Benetton Rugby have announced the contract extension of prop Simone Ferrari until June 30, 2020.

The 23-year-old joined Benetton in 2015 and went on to make his Test debut for Italy in November 2016 against South Africa in Firenze.

"I'm so happy and honored to extend my contract with Benetton Rugby until 2020, surely I must say thanks to the club for growth had during these two and a half years," said Simone.

"We are making great strides, the results prove, I look forward to continuing to grow with them."

Sports director Antonio Pavanello added: "In order to make our clubs more competitive, we are delighted that Simone has decided to continue his experience in-white. His quality, his performance and his age make him definitely a top player in Europe and as such the requests coming from the market are many and attractive.
