Sevens Legend Signs For MLR Club
- 1990
The San Diego Legion have completed another top signing ahead of the 2021 Major League Rugby season with former South African Sevens Flyer Cecil Afrika joining the club.
Afrika follows fellow South African and former Springbok wing Bjorn Basson in joining the club.
Africa retired from sevens rugby in June after spending 12 seasons with the Blitzboks and has experience with the fifteens format having played for the Junior Springboks, Griffons and Cheetahs.
San Diego add to their South African contingent with the likes of Dean Muir and Joe Pietersen already at the club.
Afrika is another top signing for San Diego with former England captain Chris Robshaw also joining the side.
