Harlequins Women is delighted to announce that seven England internationals have put pen to paper on new deals at the Club.
Front rows Vickii Cornborough, Amy Cokayne and Shaunagh Brown have all recommitted to Amy Turner’s side, with lock Rosie Galligan, scrum-half Lucy Packer, centre Lagi Tuima and full-back Ellie Kildunne also signing to remain at The Stoop.
The front row trio of Cornborough, Cokayne and Brown boast an impressive 206 Quins appearances and 157 test caps combined, with the experienced internationals all continuing their journey in South West London.
After a superb first season at Quins after joining from Saracens, Rosie Galligan has re-signed with the Club. The lock earned herself an England re-call ahead of the 2022 Women’s Six Nations after several stellar performances in the Famous Quarters. Galligan will now be looking to continue her fine form and secure a spot in the World Cup squad before returning to Quins later this year.
Galligan said: “I’m delighted to re-sign with Harlequins ahead of the new campaign. I loved my first season at the Club and can’t wait to continue to grow as a player and as a squad. I look forward to working with Amy, Brent and Matt to see what we can achieve at Quins this season.”
Three Quins backs have also agreed new deals as we approach the 2022/23 campaign.
Scrum-half Lucy Packer has signed a new contract after making her England debut back in the Autumn of 2021 against USA at Sixways Stadium. Packer joined Quins in 2018 and has gone on to become one of the leading nine’s in the Allianz Premier 15s.
Skilful centre Lagi Tuima has also agreed to extend her time at Quins. Tuima joined the Club in 2020 and has since then formed a strong centre partnership with captain Rachael Burford. The Fijian born 24-year-old was a mainstay in the Quins’ side last year and is looking to continue her form into the new season.
Dynamic back three player Ellie Kildunne has also agreed a new deal with Harlequins. Fan favourite Kildunne will enter her second season at the Club after impressing in her maiden season in South West London, scoring eleven tries.
