Scott Barrett has been suspended for four weeks after he received a red card for a dangerous hit on Alex Hodgman early in the second half during the narrow loss to the Blues in Christchurch on Friday.
The Crusaders captain is one of three New Zealanders who were slapped with suspensions, following Hurricanes hooker Asafo Aumua and Highlanders lock Josh Dickson's three weeks bans at the weekend.
Barrett will miss the Crusaders' games against the Rebels, Waratahs and Force, while his availability for the Round 13 match against the Brumbies will be determined by whether he completes World Rugby's Intervention program.
