Scotland narrowly lose to France

France hosted Scotland in the reverse fixture of the Summer Nations series and what a action-packed thriller it was at the Stade de France.

Scotland were the first to register points on the board with winger Steyn flying into the corner to score the opening try.

Both teams were in-it to win-it, looking to take all available points by kicking to goal when the opportunity presented itself.

Although Scotland were on the front-foot, a yellow card saw them go one man down in the 30^th minute and France took a 13-10 lead into the break.

The Les Bleus started off strong in the second half with tries from winger Penaud and flanker Olilivon.

Scotland replied with a try from van de Merwe, another quick tap try from Darge, followed by a chip kick with Steyn winning the foot race to score in the corner.

With the game all tied France won a penalty in the opposition half and Toulouse player Thomas Ramos calmly kicks it over to give the home side a 3 point advantage.

Kyle Steyn put on a man of the match performance, with 2 clean breaks to score 2 tries for the Les Bleus.
