Scarlets duo to undergo surgery

Following the Pro 14 Final, Scarlets have confirmed that backrower Aaron Shingler and scrum-half Jonathan Evans will both require surgery on injuries they sustained against Leinster at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.

Shingler will undergo surgery to repair the damage done to his knee, while Evans will undergo surgery on his foot.

The club stated that neither player will be available for the start of the 2018-19 season and will both follow an extensive rehabilitation period, expected return to play dates will be made available in due course.
