Aviva Premiership
Saracens 25-12 Gloucester
Worcester Warriors 31-23 Sale Sharks
Worcester ended their losing streak in tough conditions as they came out on top over Sale. The away sides winning streak is now over but Warriors were well worthy of the bonus point victory. Sale will not be happy with their discipline and the 8 points that Danny Cipriani missed from the tee although they did leave with a try bonus point. Worcester now sit 6 points clear of London Irish, who play tomorrow.
Bath 18-24 Wasps
Bath's season suffered another setback as Wasps won at the Rec. The away side kept up their impressive form and looked threatening throughout the first half forcing their hosts to defend desperately as they looked to keep the ball alive. A Frank Halai try set them up for a 6-8 lead at the break, but a competitive second half saw 2 tries a piece setting the game up for a tense finish that saw Bath score a last gasp try to clinch the losing bonus point. In the wind and rain Wasps gave a brilliant performance and puts them up to 3rd in the Aviva Premiership table, Bath's top 6 hopes looking increasingly unlikely.
PRO 12
Cardiff 13-14 Leinster
In adverse conditions, Leinster came away with an important win in Cardiff. Despite failing to capitalise on the wind in the first half, Leinster put in a controlled performance in the second half and a runaway try from Isa Nacewa, created by man of the match Jack Conan, put them on their way to victory. A late Josh Navidi try put the game within 1 point which setup for a shaky ending, but Leinster held on and kept up their good domestic form.
Zebre 34-51 Connacht
Connacht go top of the PRO 12 table with a bonus point victory over Zebre away from home. The Italian side kept the encounter close for the first half trailing by just 4 points at the break. Connacht then turned it on in the second half, increasing the speed and intensity, scoring 4 tries and winning by a comfortable 17 points.
