Sam Lewis has become the fifth member of the current Warriors squad to sign a contract extension.
The dynamic openside flanker has followed Ted Hill, Andrew Kitchener, Francois Venter and Nick Schonert in extending his stay beyond the end of the current season.
Lewis, 29, joined Warriors from Ospreys in March 2015 and quickly established himself as a crowd favourite at Sixways as a strong and pacy ball carrier in attack and tireless tackler in defence.
“It was an easy decision because I love playing here. We have a great bunch of boys here and I think that we can really push on over the next few years. It’s something I want to be a part of,” Lewis said.
“There are boys who were in the Academy when I first came here who are now playing first team so they are going to have a big part to play in that future.
“We have a really tight group and it’s good to see so many of the boys re-signing.
“I am enjoying my rugby and if I can help this club achieve its potential that will be great.
“I’m very settled here. My girlfriend loves it here so that also helped to make it an easy decision to extend my contract.”
