Brumbies co-captain Sam Carter has signed a new two-year deal with the Canberra side.
He is the first player to re-sign with the club, as the Brumbies also searches for a new coach to replace Stephen Larkham at the end of the year.
Carter is the leader of a new generation of Brumbies, since the departure of Stephen Moore Carter has taken the captaincy, while co-captain Christian Lealiifano continues his recovery from leukaemia.
Carter has played 80 games for the Brumbies since making his debut in 2011 and he will lead the Brumbies for the first time at home in a clash against the Durban Sharks on Saturday.
