Romania name 33-man Rugby World Cup squad

Romanian national rugby team have named a 33-man squad for the upcoming Rugby World Cup in France.
26-year old Cristi Chiricawill captain the team for the second time, with his first captaincy being in the victory over Tonga in Bucharest in November 2021.
He was also one of the team's leading try scorer in this edition of the Rugby Europe Championship, with 5 tries, his outstanding performances propelling him into the team of the tournament.
The vice-captains of the team are Ovidiu Cojocaru and Mihai Macovei.
There are 19 forward players and 14 three-quarter players in the team. The most capped player is Mihai Macovei with 104 caps, followed by Florin Surugiu with 102.
The oldest player is midfielder Florin Surugiu, 38 years, 8 months and 5 days, and the youngest member of the squad is opening midfielder Mihai Mureșan, 20 years 10 months and 13 days.
Mihai Macovei also has the most points scored for Romania in the current squad, with 100 points.
