Robbie Henshaw ruled out of PRO14 semi-final
- 2017
Robbie Henshaw will miss Leinster’s Pro14 semi-final against Munster on Saturday after picking up a knee injury in Leinster's' Champions Cup Final victory over Racing 92.
Henshaw has only just returned from a three-month lay-off after shoulder surgery. He sustained the knock during Champions Cup final but managed to complete the 80 minutes.
Scrum coach John Fogarty said Henshaw looked very “stiff and uncomfortable.”
The injury news doesn't get any better for Leinster as they may also have to go into the semi-final without Isa Nacewa and Johnny Sexton with both players to be assessed as the week progresses.
Sexton felt his groin after one of his second-half penalty attempts, while Nacewa picked up a calf injury and a decision will be made on their availability in the coming days.
Fergus McFadden (hamstring), Sean O’Brien (shoulder), Cathal Marsh (toe), Dave Kearney (shoulder) and Josh van der Flier (knee) are all long-term injuries.
